"Back-to-School"

Guest speakers from Eielson Elementary & Lake Region College.  We learned about the upcoming events for the year at the schools on GFAFB & we given information about the new GI Bill for spouses to further their education.  

There were also lots of sign-ups for our new members and guests.  And we looked ahead to our 2009-2010 ESC year!

"Breast Cancer Awareness"

Guest speakers- Danae, a Breast Cancer survivor & Kathy Detke, a Nurse Practioner at a GF OB/GYN office.  We learn a lot about how breast exams are so very important and to know your body.

We also had a lot of fun with our ice-breaker game, wrapping each other with toilet paper to become Mummys!  And our members had lots of pink on for our 'All you can Wear Pink' contest!

Also in October, the ESC hosted the first Bunco game night of the year!  We had a fun theme night--Halloween Costumes!  We had a zebra, witch, wizard, Pin-Up girl and the OctoMom with her babies was there too!

"Black Friday Fun"

To get ready for 'Black Friday' we had a night full of fun games! 

"Trivia", "Name that Price", "Cereal Match-up", "Name that Ad" and our BIG game "Shop 'til You Drop"!

It was a CrAzY night filled with a ton of laughs!

"Christmas Potluck & Secret Santa Exchange"

To celebrate Christmas, we gathered together with delicious food, games and our Secret Santa Exchange.  It was a relaxing night and our first night meeting in GFAFB's new Sven's Kitchen.

Also in December, the ESC sponsored a Gift Wrapping Fundraiser at the BX.  We also had a day that our personal Santa & Mrs. Claus came to take pictures with kids!  It was a great success, thank you to all that came out to support the ESC!

Our December Bunco night was a theme night too!  Ugly Christmas Sweaters!

"Family Bowling Night Out"

To kick off the New Year, the ESC sponsored a Family Bowling Night Out at Dakota Lanes.  We had 'pin' game for the most strikes.  It was wonderful to see families join us!

Also in January, the ESC hosted our 1st Annual Indoor Rummage Sale at Liberty Square.  It was a Huge success!  We also had a table of donated items and bucket to collect money for the recent earthquake in Haiti.  The money collected that day was sent to 'Habitat for Humanity in Haiti'.
